Found this great article on CNET about Google hitting a billion visitors in May.
What I found pretty interesting was that out of the 1,009,699,000 visitors in May 2011, 13.5 percent of the visitors were made up by South African users. That’s roughly 13.6 Million visitors from South Africa.
What’s interesting is that the population of South Africa is roughly 50 Million, and there are roughly 20 million people with access to mobile web. If the numbers are accurate, it means more than a quarter of the population in South Africa are already using google.
Good stuff!
